Summary of Position

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

My ultimate duty is to participate as a member of our research team by working on the collection and interpretation of in-situ ocean color data.
My responsibilities include:
1) The processing of ocean optical data collected from our various projects (BBOP, CLIVAR, Plumes & Blooms).
2) The collection of additional data sets found outside of the University. This includes ocean color observations from profiling radiometers, water samples of phytoplankton and particulates, and basic oceanographic parameters.
3) Implementing quality assurance and quality control measures.
4) The maintenance of an ocean color database.
5) Acting as the 'data librarian' for the Ocean Color Group.
